You are not alone
If you have lost someone to suicide, the first thing you should know is that you are not alone. Last year approximately 50,000 people in the United States died by suicide – the devastated family and friends they leave behind are known as “survivors.” There are millions of survivors who, like you, are trying to cope with this heart-breaking loss.

Our Creed
Our group comes together because we believe in life and have lost someone dear to suicide. This does not make sense to us, and our grieving is complicated. We come together in openness and honesty as we try to restructure our lives, with increased strength and compassion for ourselves and others. We respect each other’s privacy and keep all that is said in our hearts but not on our lips. We also respect each other’s differences and needs while realizing we are not alone on our challenging path. - Elena Prien, SOSL Founder
